Coffee Shop near Gakugei-daigaku station
“Kanno Coffee” is a coffee shop located about a 12-minute walk from the Gakugei-daigaku station on Tokyu-Toyoko Line. It looks like a coffee factory outside (and indeed, there is a coffee factory inside the building) but inside the shop has a very warm, comfortable atmosphere with wooden furniture. The owner of the shop directly imports the coffee beans from all over the world and roasts them in their coffee factory with a roastery which is located in the center of the cafĂ©. It also houses a coffee research lab, an academy offering coffee workshops, and a coffee retail corner inside.

Coffee Menu
The shop has its original coffee blend menus which are definitely recommended to try, but I also found it very interesting that they use a pretty coffee sleeve on their cups. The other day when I ordered an iced coffee to go, I got a cup with a sleeve on which has a “Looking Back Beauty” painting by Miran Fukuda, a Japanese Asian Modern & Contemporary painter who was born in 1963. Not just enjoying a good taste of coffee but also watching the beautiful painting on the cup while drinking the coffee really made my day!
